about
Western society is obsessed with near-naked people - tabloid newspapers, TV and magazines are falling over themselves to print titillating photos. But a real naked person - ooo no way too shocking. That would challenge the very fabric (excuse the pun) of social order! The indecency would outrage! But of course its a lot of uptight bollocks from repressed folks who have lost touch with nature and themselves.
Mark Twain once wrote something about clothes that sums up what we think: “There is no power without clothes. It is the power that governs the human race. Strip its chiefs to the skin, and no State could be governed; naked officials could exercise no authority; they would look (and be) like everybody else–commonplace, inconsequential.” So our wee song is about a simple man (could be any non-gender specific lovely person) who really doesn't give a toss. And there are lots of them out there.
lyrics
Comes alive, doesn't say a lot
Head high, towel in hand
Doesn't dress for tea, no need to pack a lot
Not defined by tighty whitey lines
Ohhh
Likes the lifestyle, without textile
Don't matter if the grass is overgrown
Ain't no dark horse, runs his own course
Likes to flutter in the breeze
More D's!
Mind is free, a book without a cover
Lost his label, many tans ago
Spitting chicken, sensei in the kitchen
Dojo rules, everybody knows
Ohhhhh
Likes the lifestyle, without textile
Don't matter if the grass is overgrown
Ain't no dark horse, runs his own course
Likes to flutter in the breeze
More D's!
Keep blinkered views, in suburban mews
Textiled sermons, yesterday's news
He's heard it all before, really doesn't care
Open your eyes, imagine you're there!
Likes the lifestyle, without textile
Don't matter if the grass is overgrown
Ain't no dark horse, runs his own course
Likes to flutter in the breeze
More D's!

We produce music laden with antipathy for mainstream culture and seasoned with an alternative point of view, wrapped up in
a deceptive layer of respectability. We champion the creative thinker and the under dog yapping in the wind. Everything we write is inspired by first-hand experience through our ADHD lens. If we resonate with you then that's a connection that means everything to us....more
